Paul Baysinger graduated from Denver Seminary in December of 2009 with a Masters Degree in Community Counseling. He has practiced in Colorado, Minnesota, and, since 2015, in Alaska. He started Recovery Waters Counseling in 2016, and, since that time, has worked almost exclusively with individuals, couples, and families struggling with the effects of problematic sexual behaviors including sex and porn addiction and the corresponding betrayal trauma which many spouses experience. He strives to create a safe environment within the counseling setting where clients are encouraged, challenged, and supported in their efforts to make lasting life changes. Paul utilizes a number of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and the Gottman Method. He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) and is an Alaska Board Approved Supervisor.

 

Paul is an avid fisherman who enjoys spending summer weekends in Prince William Sound with is family and friends. His great joy is to watch his two young sons, wife, and friends enjoy catching fish and experience the beauty of Alaska. He is attempting to learn the art of hunting, which appears to be teaching him great patience.
